He began his career by working for a large 4 office chiropractic practice. After 2 years there, he opened a private practice in North Carolina, which he owned and operated for 5 years. 

Making people feel better physically and emotionally, Dr. Barnes then served as the Director of the Florida Accident and Injury Center for 16 years, before establishing Manasota Accident & Injury Center.
