Yulia was born in the Soviet Union and had a happy childhood, with her parents and extended family providing her with all she needed. However, when she was 5, she saw children in an orphanage and it had a lasting impact on her. 

In 2002, after attending a year at Keene State College in New Hampshire through a study abroad program, Yulia decided she wanted to make the United States her home. She secured enough scholarship money to complete her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Keene State College in 2005. Then she obtained her Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Boston University in 2011.

In July 2020, Yulia attended Tony Robbins' Unleash the Power Within (UPW) event, where she realized that she was destined to help the foster care community. She also realized that she couldn't do it if she stayed at her 9 to 5 job. 

At the beginning of 2021, she got her real estate license and then gracefully exited the corporate world. December 2021 marked the biggest milestone in her life - she created the Yuls Foundation for Foster Youth to serve young people transitioning out of foster care. Now, with each sale Yulia closes, 5% of her net commission is donated to her nonprofit. 

Yulia's focus and determination have enabled her to be successful in her career and to help the cause she's passionate about.
