Young adult fiction has become increasingly popular over the past decades, from classic titles such as Harry Potter to modern sagas like Twilight, or standalone novels such as The Book Thief.
Romance novels, particularly those dealing with the paranormal, have been fan favorites for many years, especially since the subject matter is intriguing, and the experiences described strike a familiar note with teenage readers. Book and reading clubs have been dedicated to paranormal young adult romances, and fans of the genres are always happy to read, share and discuss their favorite novels.
While paperback novels still account for the large majority of young adult fiction sales, ebooks are starting to make up ground, especially as the target market is made up of teenagers and young adults. The young adult fiction public is considerably more open to new technology, thus being willing to read on Kindle devices and tablets. Ebook sales have risen considerably over the recent years, especially within genres targeting teenagers and young adults.
Kat Stiles is the author of Connected, a young adult paranormal romance focusing on the adventures of Em, a teenage girl with telepathic abilities. Caught between her love for Tommy and the danger of a telepathic serial killer on the loose, Em struggles as she fights both her inner demons and a very immediate, life-threatening danger.
The book has been launched on Kindle Unlimited, the Amazon ebook subscription program allowing for unlimited Kindle reading and audiobook listening. The original price has been reduced, and the book is now available for $3.99.
The author announced future Connected giveaways of both the paperback and the ebook version.
