St. Louis, MO (May 2019) — The Wallner Home Selling Team recently held a raffle to benefit charity. The real estate team raised $5,000 dollars for Angels’ Arms, a local nonprofit organization that supports foster children right here in St. Louis. The Wallner raffle was for front-row seats to the recent St. Louis Blues hockey game, in which two lucky winners sat in the front row for the May 15th playoff game against the Sharks. The tickets were all-inclusive, meaning the winners were treated to early entry to the game, free food, and free drinks. Raffle tickets were sold for $25 a piece or 5 for $100.
The Wallner Home Selling Team holds charity and responsibility in high regard. They supported this recent initiative and continue to give back to those in need. May is National Foster Care Awareness month, so co-owner Jen Wallner from the Wallner Team found an opportunity to combine two specialties of St. Louis: Blues hockey and giving back. All proceeds from the raffle went to the Angels’ Arms charity.
Angels’ Arms is a charity that provides assistance to foster children by helping them find and stay in loving homes with new families. The charity, which started in 2000, has helped over 500 children find new homes. Unlike some organizations, one of Angels’ Arms’ main goals is to keep siblings together during the foster process and to strengthen family bonds—children who have never known the genuine love and care of parents and siblings are taught how to be a part of a functional family. This comprehensive process involves teaching children how to do chores, helping them with their schoolwork, and including them in family meals and functions. Angels’ Arms also provides clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, and music lessons to children who need them. Outside of the home, Angels’ Arms provides the children with emotional support and other useful resources. They partner with community supporters and other non-profit organizations.
