140 young companies applied for the Public Value Award for start-ups this year. Since 2016, the award has honored start-ups that contribute to the common good in a special way. The Public Value Award for start-ups strengthens a positive and sustainable approach to business, particularly among young entrepreneurs. It makes it clear that companies are part of society and must play a constructive role in shaping it and making it fit for the future. The award is organized by Forum Gemeinwohl e.V., supported by the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL), the City of Leipzig, EY, ZEISS, Leipziger Messe and the LF Group.

The finalists will pitch live for the jury and audience prizes on Oct. 13 in Leipzig. Interested parties can vote for the audience award as early as Oct. 1 at www.publicvalueaward.de.
