Josh McDermott Featured As Up and Comer By Professional Remodeler Magazine

A little more than one year after taking full control of the St. Louis kitchen remodeling company his father founded in 1993, Josh McDermott of J.T. McDermott Remodeling Contractors was featured in the “40 Under 40” special edition of Professional Remodeler magazine.

“40 Under 40 is Pro Remodeler’s annual look at the remodeling industrys future – its most innovative, most impressive young professionals,” the magazine wrote in its introduction. “This year’s under-40 class stands out as one of our most inspired yet.”

And its easy to see why McDermott made the list. He has successfully carried on the three founding principles that have guided 25 years of success within the company: excellent quality, open communication, and follow up with clients to ensure total satisfaction.

McDermott worked for the company throughout high school and during semester breaks while attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. He became a pharmaceutical representative after graduating then rejoined his father, Tim McDermott, in 2012. The plan had always been to hand over the reins to him. That happened at the end of 2015 – a full year ahead of the plan.

In his profile for the magazine, McDermott noted his goal for moderate and controlled growth and expanding the companys market to more affluent areas throughout the St. Louis region.

“We look for long-term relationships with both employees and customers,” he notes in the profile. View the article in its entirety at https://www.proremodeler.com/forty-under-40-josh-m….
