Cincinnati, Ohio 6/4/18 – Silco Fire & Security has been recognized by Security Dealer & Integrator (SD&I) magazine in its annual Fast50 rankings, which names the fastest-growing security integrators and dealers in North America.
SD&I unveiled the Fast50 winners at this year’s ISC West Security Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas. The list is also available in the April issue of SD&I magazine.
According to David Fraser, Silco’s president. “Security is the fastest growing segment of our business. We have been fortunate to hire some exceptional people over the last few years in management, sales, and field technicians that have enabled this rapid growth. Most of the growth has come from the installation and service of high definition video surveillance and keyless card access control systems. We also tend to take on the more challenging and sophisticated projects that other companies struggle with or shy away from. School security, commercial security, as well as security in manufacturing/industrial businesses have been the biggest markets. I find that being prompt in everything we do in combination with having exceptional people has been the secret to our sauce.”
Fast50 is based on a level playing field for all companies, no matter the size. Security dealers and integrators submitted financial information for their past three operating years, and their rank in the Fast50 is based on their year-to-year percentage growth and revenue growth, with their overall ranking determined by a formula that balances those two considerations.
“The Fast50 gives SD&I a chance to recognize companies on the cutting edge of technologies and service offerings as the standard by which all companies can endeavor to achieve,” said Security Dealer & Integrator Editor-in-Chief Paul Rothman. “Many of these companies have gone far beyond the usual way of doing things. They are on the forefront of smart technologies for the home and business; they are leaders in combining IT and security into one, cohesive service offering; and they are embracing the cloud by encouraging every customer to move to hosted and managed services.”
