Fore River’s production site is equipped with modern machinery and systems that enable it to produce an extensive variety of beers. The newly announced private tours of the facility aim to forge an intimate relationship with customers by involving them in the process of creating house special brews.

Fore River offers a diverse range of locally-crafted beers including double IPA, ale, pilsner, stouts, lager, and others. The tap list includes modern interpretations of classic recipes- their John Henry is a nitro pour milk stout with notes of chocolate and traditional English roasted malts. Their fruited kettle sours and ales combine a range of flavors and aromas, like their house ale, Into the Wind, which carries hints of clove, banana, and black pepper.

The brewery’s original location on Huntress Avenue has a tasting room and a beer garden where live music shows and food truck events are hosted to promote local artists and businesses. Online delivery services are also available for customers who wish to enjoy Fore River beers from the safety of their homes.

Portland has greatly benefited from America’s craft beer boom. Experts believe that millennial consumers prefer a wide selection of beer options customized to suit diverse palates. They also value independent brands with a story, purpose, and a sustainable vision. Fore River operates on the principle that local breweries uplift communities and are often drivers of positive social change.

Fore River has been sustainably producing a growing list of high-quality beers since 2015. They have collaborated with the South Portland firefighters’ union since 2017 to create their custom All Hands Brown Ale and donate the proceeds to local charities.

With the latest announcement, Fore River Brewing Company continues to meaningfully engage with its customers and provide an intimate, enjoyable drinking experience. It aims to expand the idea of beer from a mass-produced beverage to something that is uniquely representative of the region.
