DiSpirito was unanimously selected for the Golden Heart Award which recognizes leaders who encourage youth to create simple lifestyle changes that enhance their own health and the well-being of family and friends around them. For nearly a decade, DiSpirito has served as an inspiring advocate for the organization and regularly performs cooking demonstrations, judges cooking competitions, visits schools with his food truck, and participates in community events on behalf of HealthCorps.

The evening raised $1 million for HealthCorps to continue its mission of providing young people with lifestyle skills to live longer, healthier, more productive, and happier lives.
