He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of University Urologists and holds a fellowship with the American College of Surgeons, particularly in the Committee on Trauma.

Contributing to the field by being an abstract review team member for the Trauma and Reconstruction section of the American Urological Association, Dr. Coburn is also an active member of various educational and reconstructive surgical associations such as the Association for Surgical Education and the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons.

Impressively, he serves as a Surgical Specialty Governor on the Board of Governors for the American College of Surgeons and is part of the American Urological Association National Student Curriculum Task Force.
