Firm Foundation Academy has expanded the library of its immersive ebook mobile app, WholeReader, which helps children to improve their English comprehension and vocabulary through immersive audio-aligned reading.

North San Juan,United States - October 13, 2022 /PressCable/ —
The app now contains hundreds of books for children, with new titles added weekly. By reading along with dramatically-narrated texts for just 45 minutes each day, a child can boost reading level and expand vocabulary.

The updated digital library combines classic children’s novels and custom educational software to offer a unique approach to studying English literature.
Research has found immersive reading to be highly effective for increasing vocabulary absorption. For instance, a study by Microsoft in 2018 found that students who took part in immersive reading for only 30 minutes a week over 3 months had vastly improved language skills in comparison to their peers, advancing a full two academic years in that short period.
WholeReader harnesses this audio-visual learning system by offering a wide range of ebooks, meticulously synchronized word-for-word with professional audio narration. This simultaneous engagement of eye and ear is optimal for language acquisition and word absorption.
The app uses adaptive leveling technology, which guides the child to books that will challenge and enhance their vocabulary knowledge. Their reading level is periodically re-assessed and progress is reported daily in reports shared with parents and teachers.
The platform is available for mobile phones and any computer running a Windows, Linux or Mac system. The ebooks can be read offline once they have been downloaded to the device.
With its expanded library, WholeReader continues to provide a wide selection of quality English literature for children and students worldwide.
