Hsien Sing Sam Hsieh, MD, a General Surgeon with Coulee Medical Center

Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Hsieh graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. He then went on to complete his surgical residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in June 2015. 

A true asset to his field, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Holding fellowship status, Dr. Hsieh is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland.
