Original Inventor of the Performance Ostomy Support Belt Launches O'Hamill Inc. and Its First Brand, HIRO
Honolulu based company introduces HIRO ostomy support belts, built on 17 years of design experience
HONOLULU - Nov. 8, 2026 - PRLog -- O'Hamill Inc. today officially announces its launch as a new ostomy support products company, along with its first brand, HIRO Ostomy Support Belts™. Founded by Richard O'Hamill, the company is dedicated to helping people living with an ostomy return to the active lives they love, with confidence, comfort and security.
O'Hamill Inc., focuses on the development and marketing of innovative support products.
O'Hamill's commitment to the ostomy community is personal. Living with an ostomy since 2008, he is an avid surfer, martial arts instructor, fire performer and active parent, and he designs every HIRO product to meet the demands of a full, active life. Over 17 years in the industry, he has worked alongside WOC nurses and clinicians and has spoken at ostomy support groups and educational conferences.
"When I had my surgery, I wanted my life back, not a list of things I couldn't do anymore," said Richard O'Hamill,
Founder and CEO of O'Hamill Inc. "HIRO is the belt I've always wanted to make: secure enough for surfing, comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it, and backed by someone who lives with an ostomy every single day."
The HIRO Collection
HIRO launches with two styles, each available in horizontal or vertical orientation:
- HIRO Performance: an adjustable ostomy support belt built for sports, work and everyday activity.
- HIRO Ultralight Sleek Fit: a lightweight, seamless slip on band that stays low profile under clothing.
HIRO belts are available now at ohamillinc.com with free shipping and next day dispatch. Customers can also schedule a Zoom video call to speak with a team member who has an ostomy.
O'Hamill is also the author of How to Change Your Life in Just 20 Minutes a Day, now available on Amazon.
