Get to know Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Donald A. Mitzelfelt, who serves patients in Illinois.
New York City, New York Sep 11, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - An excellent orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Mitzelfelt has treated bones, muscles, and joints throughout Central Illinois since 1994. At Midwest Orthopaedic Center, he helps patients return home, better than before.
"I've enjoyed serving local patients for many years, and I'm particularly interested in helping you benefit from the latest technologies and techniques for knee and hip replacements."
Originally hailing from the West Coast, Dr. Mitzelfelt completed his studies and residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Since then, he has traded the palm tree-lined hills of California for the temperate climate of Pekin without losing a sunny disposition.
With decades of medical expertise helping guide patients to recovery, Dr. Mitzelfelt is also a pioneer of new medical techniques, like the revolutionary VISIONAIRE Patient Matched Instrumentation process, in which unique knee implants are tailored to comfortably fit the patient through the use of 3D imaging techniques -- all under the surgeon's direction.
Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
