Connolly Dental is Offering Digital Smile Design Services in Perth

July 15, 2021 - /PressAdvantage/ - Perth’s leading smile design boutique Connolly Dental is offering general, cosmetic, and restorative dental treatments. The principal dentist of Connolly Dental, Dr. Lily Taheri, is the only dentist in Western Australia that has a Mastership certification in Digital Smile Design (DSD).

Digital Smile Design is a unique approach to modern dentistry where the patient is able to see what their new smile will look like before they begin the treatment. The technology gives patients the confidence that they will be happy with the end result of the treatment. A dental patient can rest assured that seeking treatment from a Digital Smile Design certified clinician gives them the best possible chance of creating or restoring their beaming smile.

A spokesperson for the clinic talks about the importance of the Mastership certification by saying, “Putting the health and wellbeing of your smile in the hands of another can be a daunting prospect. When it comes to our own health, we can never be too careful. Dr Lily Taheri pursued the Mastership certification from Digital Smile Design to give her patients the absolute certainty that they are seeking help from the best of the best. We do everything in our power to give you the confidence of a megawatt smile that you have lost or never quite had in your life. The benefits of having that confidence extend beyond just one’s personal and professional life as it can have a significant impact on one’s life span. A 2010 Wayne State University research project that examined the baseball cards photos of Major League players in 1952 found that the span of a player’s smile could actually predict the span of his life. Players who didn’t smile in their pictures lived an average of only 72.9 years, while players with beaming smiles lived an average of 79.9 years. That happiness leads to healthier and more fulfilling lives should come as a surprise to no one. Studies like that just reinforce the universal truths that we instinctively know to be true even though they haven’t been studied rigorously by science. If you want to find out the benefits for yourself and are in the market for dentist services in Western Australia, give Connolly Dental a call today and you will find out why our clients love and trust us so much.”

Fundamentally, DSD refers to two things - a concept and a company. The concept of DSD is based on the 5 pillars of design, plan, present, perform, and promote. It was developed by Dr. Christian Coachman and provides a combination of systematic approaches and strategies to improve comprehensive dentistry and dental office growth, with improved diagnosis, smile design, team communication, treatment planning, clinical execution, and creation of perceived value towards the final patients to increase new patient intake and case acceptance. Thie Digital Smile Design treatment effectively lets patients "preview" their new smile before receiving treatment. This comfortable, predictable process helps the cosmetic dentist achieve the best look for their patients.

Digital Smile Design, the company, offers certifications to dental clinicians all around the world. The DSD program provides multiple offerings such as DSD Education which comprises in-person and online training, DSD Planning Center that includes smile design projects, diagnostics, and treatment planning support, DSD Lab an interdisciplinary full-service lab, DSD Consultancy that comprises in-house audit and staff training, and DSD Marketing a full-service marketing agency only for DSD Clinics.

There is a defined path for those in the program. DSD member rank is awarded to every dentist, technician, or staff member that does a DSD Residency course or a DSD Coordinator course, in person or online. Following that comes the rank of DSD Master which is awarded to dentists or technicians that applied and were approved on the Mastership program. Then comes the DSD KOL which nominates candidates to become well-known opinion leaders that lecture in international congresses and help spread the DSD word. They are picked by the DSD Education Committee. Finally, the entire practice can be recognized as a DSD Clinic. This is reserved for dental clinics that applied and were approved on the DSD Consultancy Audit.
