Cluster Innovative Development in Nine Cities, G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta has made outstanding achievements in the past four years

On the afternoon of November 8th, the press conference of “Promoting domestic and international double circulation Policy with Integrated high-quality Development” was held in G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta during the third China International Import Expo.

At the conference, “the Implementation Opinions on Supporting G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta, and Promoting Cross-Regional Cooperation of Industrial Chain with Leading Enterprises as the Guidance”，and policies such as “the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Promoting the Coordinated Development of Science, Technology and Industry in the Five Western Regions of Shanghai and Realizing the Linkage Development with G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta” have been released successively. The purpose is to promote Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta to take the lead in forming a new pattern of development and play a greater role in smoothing the domestic and international cycles. Centering on the above vision, we will focus on the new development pattern of cities, jointly build and share G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta, focus on the first driving force of innovation, and be the pioneer of scientific, technological and industrial innovation, and focus on institutional innovation and supply. We will accelerate the formation of new heights in the open economy under the new development pattern.

Since the construction of G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta started in 2016, these nine cities has been adhering to the new development concept, continuously strengthening the drive of scientific and technological innovation, leading high-end industries and leading enterprises, presenting a good momentum of in-depth advancement in integration and high-quality development, and forming a strategic comparative advantage. From January to September this year, the local fiscal revenue of Jiucheng bucked the trend, accounting for about 1/13 of the national local general public budget revenue. More than 1.3 million new market players were added, an increase of 24.8% year on year. Construction began on more than 1,000 key provincial-level projects, with a total investment of more than 900 billion yuan. At present, these nine cities has gathered nearly 1,300 enterprises in strategic emerging industries and more than 20,000 high-tech enterprises, which has become an important source of power and innovation for the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta.

As the place where the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta started, SONGJIANG · SHANGHAI District has made outstanding achievements in the past four years, with its GDP growing at an average annual rate of 12.2% and local fiscal revenue growing at an average annual rate of 14.4%, maintaining positive growth for 58 consecutive months. Tencent AI supercomputing center, G60 brainpower innovation base, ultra-silicon semiconductor, Evergrande new energy vehicles and other major new infrastructure projects with a total planned investment of more than 300 billion yuan have been launched. Songjiang Comprehensive bonded zone ranks the first in import and export volume in Shanghai. High-tech enterprises have doubled in three years, R&D has increased from 3.58% to 4.32%, and the number of listed enterprises has reached 352.
