Sep 21, 2021
Steven Roof has completed his new book "The Diary of a Drifter: A Crazy True Story": a gripping true story of the author's travels across the country as a drifter. Full of wild tales and insightful tips on how to travel as a drifter, readers will discover a hidden world they've only previously heard about but never understood.
As Roof states, "This book is about my life. I crossed [the country] sixteen times on foot on most of it and lived on the road for fifteen years, eating wild edible plants and always leaving home with no money. This book is more than just a book. This book can save lives. Say you have no family and no friends and you're homeless. The knowledge in this book can save your life."
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Steven Roof's incredible tale begins after a chance encounter that sets him off on a journey with new acquaintances to California. From there, Roof learns the tricks of living as a drifter and how to get by without any money. Though at different points of his story times get difficult, with the generosity of others and the knowledge he gains Roof manages to live his ultimate goal of becoming a world traveler.
