Arkansas Surgical Hospital Recognized with State’s Only Double Five-Star Rating

Physician-Owned Facility One of Only 19 in Nation to Garner these Ratings

Arkansas Surgical Hospital, a physician-owned surgical facility in North Little Rock, earned two five-star ratings this month from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services. The facility was recognized with the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating by both CMS’s Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) and the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating. The North Little Rock facility is one of only 19 in the nation and the only one in Arkansas to earn the rating on both assessments.

CMS publicly reports the data on a quarterly basis in Hospital Compare Reports to help consumers choose where to receive treatment and to expect quality, first-class care. The HCAHPS score relies solely on patient survey responses while Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating combines clinical outcomes with patient survey respondent data.
