2023 Manila International Book Fair presents From Normandy To The Hell Of Ravensbruck by Francis Pitard

Manila, Luzon Sep 13, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Authors Press is thrilled to announce the inclusion of Francis Pitard's widely-acclaimed historical novel, "From Normandy To The Hell Of Ravensbruck Life and Escape from a Concentration Camp: The True Story of 44667" in the prestigious Manila International Book Fair 2023.

Pitard's riveting novel is a stark exploration of humanity and survival during World War II. Based on true events, it chronicles the lives of Aline Virmoux and her husband, two members of the French Resistance, who were captured by the Gestapo in 1944. While her husband was deported to Dachau, Aline was sent to Ravensbrück, a women's concentration camp where her indomitable spirit was tested in an environment of unimaginable atrocity.

This intense narrative does not shy away from the reality of the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where over 132,000 women were systematically stripped of their humanity. Yet, amid the stark depictions of dehumanization, Pitard weaves a tale of profound love and enduring resilience. The story stands as a testament to Aline's exceptional bravery, and her survival serves as a beacon of hope in humanity's darkest hours.

Francis Pitard, known for his professional expertise in sampling statistics and Total Quality Management, brings a meticulous eye for detail to the novel. His deep interest in anthropology and archaeology aids in painting a vivid, historically accurate account of the era, making the novel a must-read for history enthusiasts and general readers alike.

"We are deeply proud to bring such an impactful and well-researched novel to the Manila International Book Fair 2023,".

"Francis Pitard's book is not only a tribute to the survivors of the Holocaust but also a powerful reminder of the endurance of the human spirit in the face of unthinkable adversity."

Rated five stars on Amazon, the book has resonated with readers worldwide, earning high praise for its gripping narrative and emotional depth. It is available for purchase at Authors Press, Creative Books Bookstore, Sweet A's Book Cafe, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

Reflecting on the essence of the book, Francis Pitard quotes, "These were the times and places where humans descended to a level lower than animals. Ravensbrück was one of those times and places where human dignity became an unimaginable luxury. This is a true story of prisoner 44667 and the routine horror that systematically denigrated and stripped 132,000 women of their humanity."

Join us at the Manila International Book Fair 2023 to explore this poignant tale of resilience, survival, and love.
